Using the paid quartz I bought previously I was able to get lots of SS Memorias -- including two of the three new ones on offer, Spica Yuina and hacker Yuki. I also got vendor Chiroru to level 1 limit break, snow white Yuki to level 1 limit break, santa Misato to level 4 limit break, base Misato to level 3 limit break, christmas Yayoi to level 1 limit break, fortune teller Seira to level 1 limit break, admiral Aoi to level 2 limit break, and phantom thief Jamie to level 3.5 limit break. A lot of these characters I intend to use against the last anachrony, Skullfeather, so this worked out perfectly.
Spica Yuina immediately came in handy against the new Score Challenge boss, who was especially weak to totem users and light users. Obviously the game designers were incentivizing people to get this memoria so they could fight the boss with it, but Spica Yuina is a powerful warrior who was good enough to make it onto my light squad as a permanent fixture. She gives auto-crit to all light skills for five turns per exclusive skill use. For normal length fights, that's auto-crit for the whole fight. She also regenerates SP for the whole party after the first few turns, so in any serious fight is a great asset. I've already gotten her to limit break level 1.
I improved the mementos to max on two more quality SS Memorias -- santa Misato and datenshi Chie. I also got Miya's skill evolution. Strangely, there are now items for sale at the badge exchange, but I haven't been awarded any badges so I have no currency with which to buy them.
The event itself was subpar. It was a fanciful story about what if Yuina had joined Squad 31-A in Chapter 1. It was explained by another, even larger stretch of the imagination, which is that everything that's happening is just the simulation of an AI seeking entertainment. I choose to believe this whole event story is fictional, like the one about idol Erika.
But when the rewards are this great when it comes to pure powering up, I don't mind if the plot lags. I am thirsty for more powerups until I can beat Skullfeather.
Meanwhile the Olympics have officially begun, with some very pretty figure skating sessions already done. It's nice that my home team, USA, is #1 in the team figure skating competition and my favorite country, Japan, is #2. The opening ceremony was okay, but nothing compared to the Paris Olympics. Winter Olympics tend to be lowkey compared to Summer Olympics, naught to be done about it.
DanMachi S6 has been announced, which is great news. DanMachi was on my anime wishlist, so I replaced it with a wish for Futari Ecchi (which will never happen.)
