Maki's event was subpar:

I don't like Maki.  She's weak and annoying.  The best character in Maki's event was Chiroru.  Maki ran away from home and joined a biker gang because her father wanted to make money from prostituting her.  That part made sense.  In fact, Lucinda from my own book, 'The Greatest Vision,' did much the same.  However, Maki then threw her life away and endangered her friends for a pack of wild dogs, which isn't cool.  If not for Chiroru's quick follow-up it would have been a disaster.  Humans are more valuable than dogs.  Anyone who doesn't understand this is annoying.

Meanwhile, I got a bunch of limit breaks using my leftover paid quartz, but they're all kinda meh.  Base Yingxia got to level 2, swimsuit Karen to level 2, waitress Kozue to level 2, one-piece Bon Ivar reached level 1, tuxedo Megumi level 1, and samurai Inori level 1.  The only character I'm actually using out of those is swimsuit Karen.  And swimsuit Karen is hard to use, because her up to crit buff is exhausted if anyone so much as breathes on a Cancer.  Similar characters who give up to elemental crit only mean you can do preparatory strikes without losing the crit buff by just avoiding that element, but swimsuit Karen makes any and all attacks crit so everything has to be prepared ahead of time before I can use her.  To make matters even more annoying, the way the ability reads, Karen should be giving up to crit to dark element attacks only, but either the wording is wrong or the ability is glitched because it doesn't actually work that way.

Oh well, base Yingxia will eventually come in handy, as will samurai Inori, so I'll have to be satisfied.

The score challenge this time was weak to thunder so I got over 500k points with my thunder squad.  I've powered up my thunder squad so much you'd think they could get 600k by now, but the boss is weirdly resilient and doesn't die even when it reaches 0 health.  That makes things a bit harder than normal.

I got Seira's skill evolution and am now working on Mion's.  There are never enough nordstrom crystals.
