Bluray is always better, but it's doubly better when the bluray filesize is smaller than the original tv stream. Thanks to [DB] and nyaa.si we've now received that double bonus. I've already rewatched Goblin Slayer S2 but I'm sure I'll make use of the archived version someday.
I've made some meaningful edits to '100 Waifus' as my work continues. I switched the attribution of a line involving science from Levy to Sara, since Levy is a magician and it wouldn't make sense for her to say it. Of course, Sara is also a magician, but she's also a normal girl who grew up in the modern world, so she would have no trouble tackling scientific subjects.
I flipped who gave birth to Ukyo and Kaya so that it would be easier to identify and remember the Kaya in question as being the girl from One Piece. Now Kaya is born right next to Nami and the book specifically says girls of that cohort originated from One Piece.
I edited a paragraph in Chapter 44 to be more thorough in what I was trying to get at: (new portions in bold)
"It isn't immaturity, it's naivete. She hasn't interacted with people very much, so she's completely honest and sincere with her expressions and her words. Lacking any malice, she can't imagine how that could trouble anyone. But when you think about it, it's not even naivete. No one can physically harm her, so she can be as open and unguarded around others as she wants. And no one can emotionally betray her either, because she's already read all our hearts and knows that will never happen. While we built up endless layers of dishonest secretiveness in order to not hurt or be hurt by others, while we all strive for poker faces and stoicism, she can just leap into our arms and go 'wai, wai!'. Anyone with omnipotence, omniscience and omnibenevolence would end up acting the same." Deedlit analyzed.
In Chapter 43 I added an 'as' to a sentence to make it more grammatical.
I'm up to Chapter 47 now and as you can see the hard work continues. Whether a chapter is good or not has no bearing on the amount of concentration it requires to imbibe. I feel like I'm reading philosophy everything is so conceptually loaded. You really have to stop and chew on every sentence to fully grasp it.
I'm closer to finishing my music screening too, with 5260/5500 songs cleared. I should finish both projects at about the same time.
The newest info out of the Siversk direction is that Russia has taken Serebrianca, a town northeast of Siversk. So maybe Russia really is launching a powerful offensive in this direction like I asked them to. Meanwhile Russia has almost taken Selidove, making my post from months ago true after the fact. Russia is always eager to serve. Russia's also advancing west of Nevelske, smothering the cities of Gurnik and Kurakhive in a new encirclement. Basically they're kicking ass everywhere. It gets tiresome when we're talking about little hamlets requiring months to capture a piece, but one must understand that these cities were heavily fortified over decades and equipped with the entire armory of the entire West. Once this last line of towns is taken -- Chasiv Yar, Siversk, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kupiansk -- there's nothing stopping Russia from rolling over the whole country. The Ukrainian army will be exhausted and Germany and the USA aren't going to offer them any more weapons. At this point Ukraine will decide continuing the fight is pointless and will peacefully surrender all the remaining territory Russia wishes to take and agree to neutrality, demilitarization, denazification, and legal protections for the remaining Russian ethnics living in the truncated Ukraine. So taking these cities isn't just one more step in an endless grind westward, it's the last step towards a negotiated peace.
Especially since Trump is up in all the polls and it's very likely he will win in a couple weeks, the Ukraine war is going to end a lot sooner than the front line would make things look. I doubt it will end so long as Biden is in office, but certainly by 2025 once sanity is restored to power.
