Wonderful Precure is Wonderful:

I only have one episode to work with, but it looks like the latest season of Pretty Cure is going to be great.  It will qualify for my top anime rankings as a must-see series that I can watch and rewatch in full and still like the second time.  I've already watched the first episode twice and I certainly liked it both times.  In particular I like the scene where Komugi is slowly transitioning in her head from mindless barks to calling out her master Iroha's name with the proper syllables.  It was extremely emotional, and they managed to build that kind of emotional rapport in a single episode.  That's impressive.

Wonderful Precure looks to be completely different from previous seasons, in that there won't be any fighting with 'dark zone,' instead they intend to play tag with them and then pacify them with hugs.  Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I also think they've done an excellent job of characterizing Komugi's human-transformed state as still 'half-dog,' mentally speaking.

Meanwhile Granblue Fantasy Relink has arrived and it's been great.  The graphics are so-so, the music is phenomenal, the voice acting is the same as the anime which hired the very best talent, and the plot is original and endearing as we've come to expect from this franchise.  I don't actually like the action-rpg gameplay format but I've come to expect it, it seems like every game these days uses it.  From here on there won't be a dull day -- Granblue Fantasy will flow into the release of Irotoridori no Sekai, the long awaited visual novel, which will then flow into FF7 Rebirth, the incredibly long awaited sequel to Remake.  After Rebirth there will be March Madness, Unicorn Overlord and Eiyuden Chronicle.  And after all that comes the Paris Olympics.  It feels like the whole year is scheduled out.  The long dull days of January are finally behind us.

Meanwhile Ukraine targeted civilians yet again, dropping an expensive and powerful HIMARS missile on a bakery in Lysichansk, killing 28 civilians and zero military.  HIMARS are accurate to within a few meters, so if you hit a bakery you were aiming for the bakery.  There is no excuse for this slaughter or any of the previous slaughters.  Everyone knows Ukraine is deliberately targeting civilians, the same civilians they say they're trying to liberate from the evil grasp of Russia, they're deliberately murdering en masse.  Does that really sound like they have the best interests of those people at heart?  Or maybe they have genocidal intent at heart, like Russia and I have been saying from the start?  What do the facts say is in Ukraine's heart?
