Not Meet Doubt:

Keiji Inai is the masterful composer of Danmachi, an anime that's soaring from height to height.  In the latest season, in episode 20, a dirge is played, 'Not Meet Doubt', representing the last moments of the Astrea family.  It's so sad, and the scene is so sad, that it left me in tears.  The song eventually became available on YouTube so I downloaded it, listened to it 100 times, and properly gave it a 5-star rating.

This is the first new 5-star song this year.  It's well worth it.  'The Sea of Clouds' from Granblue Fantasy was demoted to make room.  The details are available at my Good Music permapost.

Not much else is happening these days.  I continue to be locked into a mortal struggle with maddening difficulty Fire Emblem Engage.  Sadly I might beat it before the new content is actually released, even though it's coming out so soon.  The game is too addictive to put down and wait.  One thing I didn't expect, because the available rings keep changing throughout the course of the game, it's no good trying to match a specific emblem to a specific character.  Those emblems come and go, so you have to be flexible in who gets what in response.  There's an ideal emblem for each character going into each battle, and next battle that ideal emblem will change, and you just have to roll with it.

Trump has been indicted on nonsense campaign finance charges.  It's ridiculous.  Obama was found in violation of campaign finance rules and he paid a fine, he was never arrested or anything.  That was all.  Hillary and Bill Clinton were caught violating campaign finance rules continuously, they never suffered any penalty.  Trump didn't even violate any laws, but even if he did they'd be slaps on the wrist and he'd just pay a fine and that would be it, if he weren't the political enemy of the Democratic party.  We are now on par with third world countries like Pakistan which always arrest the loser of a political power struggle for one crime or another.  'Corruption' is the go-to crime, and that's basically what they're claiming about Trump too.  I guess calling him a treasonous Russian agent or seditious insurrectionist didn't succeed so we're moving on to 'sleazy business practices.'

Trump is the only strong voice in favor of peace and mutual respect with Russia, so he's the only candidate I can support in 2024.  These sordid practices trying to stop Trump from running for President only make me more certain that he's the one candidate Democrats fear and the only candidate who can beat them and create meaningful positive change in America.  The opposite of whatever Democrats want is what I want.

The winter anime season is over and good riddance.  There were a lot of mediocre series that were more chores than pleasure to watch by the end.  Now the slate is clear for a very promising spring season starting tomorrow.  I'll of course write a first impressions post once enough new series have debuted.
