Apparently this was published in 2019 in Japan and only now has America got around to translating it. Why would it take two years to translate a book? People who know the language can read Japanese in real time, it takes no longer for them to 'translate' it than it does for Japanese people to 'read' it, a few hours. So what were the remaining two years spent on?
I never liked this series overly much, but when it gets this long it's hard to dispute its overall worth. A bunch of sand gathered together can form dunes after all. I'm sure I'll finish reading this volume as well soon enough.
Most of all, I need this volume to help me listen to more music. I have 215 songs left to go and I'm already fully caught up with Ayakashi Triangle.
I finished Koikari's Hasumi route and started down the Emi route. Hasumi's so much better than Emi I find myself looking forward to the new scenes with Hasumi even in Emi's route. The best part of the Emi route is I still get to talk to Hasumi, lol.
SAO Progressive is getting a 2nd movie. We in America will get to see the first in 2022, but over in Japan they'll be watching the second. There's plenty of books to adapt so I wouldn't be surprised if they announce a third at this rate. I of course liked the books so bring it on, I hope they movie-fy them all.
If Youngkin really does win the Virginia governor race, a state that was +10 for Biden a year ago, this proves many important things -- Andrew Anglin and co., who said the 'vote was rigged' and Democrats 'cheated' last year, and that 'mail-in ballots mean they can do anything,' blah blah blah, will be completely discredited. Anglin advised everyone not to vote and to surrender entirely to full Democrat rule, ludicrously, when the Senate is still tied and the House only 4 seats away from flipping. If Republicans can still win elections in Virginia, of all places, Democrats clearly aren't cheating and there is no reason to surrender the entire country to them just because we lost one election by a razor-thin margin.
It also says Republicans are almost sure to retake the Senate and House in the midterms, which will be a great relief economically. No more crazy spending or tax bills for the nonce.
In a more meta sense, it's very encouraging. For the election to swing so far from +10 Biden to Republican governor means there's a large swing vote in this country, so if you appeal to these moderates as slightly more sane and reasonable than the Democrats you can win them over and get majorities anywhere. All Republicans have to do, at this point, is say they're against various insane policies like defunding the police or opening the borders, while everything else can stay the status quo, and moderates will flock to our banner in droves. True, that's not sufficient to create a right-wing utopia, but it can blunt the worst damage liberal ideas lean towards. It would mean not every election is doomsday.
