4500/5500:

Just 1000 tunes left to judge.  The longest of the tunes, though, so still a tall order.  If I stick to it I'll finish the preliminary ratings sometime in December, but can I really even everything out to 1100 per category before 2022?  That's the question.

Right now my columns are pretty far unaligned.  1 star has 1040/1100 slots filled, 2 star has 982/1100, 3 star has 890/1100, 4 star has 682/1100, and 5 star has 896/1100.  In other words, out of the 1,000 remaining songs, 6% can be assigned to 1 star, 11.8% to 2 star, 21% to 3 star, 41.8% to 4 star, and 20.4% to 5 star.

If I miraculously assign everything correctly on my first try I won't have to smooth the columns out, but realistically speaking it's going to be difficult to assign half my remaining songs to 4 star and for the results to be accurate at the end.  I clearly messed up my valuations somewhere in there.  Well, I can worry about fixing the results once I've actually cleared the first hurdle and given everybody some rating of some sort.

Luckily the Lensmen series, which I haven't read in decades, is perfectly good company for the rest of this journey.  It's been so long the story may as well be brand new.

Meanwhile, I finished the twins' route in Koikari.  It's pretty awful.  I don't expect the teacher route will be any better, but the visual novel was good enough overall that I still want to reach 100% completion, so I just have to keep plugging.
