Unlimited Shine:

This volume is the conclusion of the 'battle' segment of the story.  The world's final last boss dragon is defeated through the combined efforts of every character ever introduced in the story and even every last human on Earth.  It's a classic ending you can find anywhere.  One thing I did like, though, was Yuu thinking of everyone dear to him to inspire him during the climactic last clash.  It's clear he knew a lot about them and thought about them all the time, the sign of a true lover.  Even when they aren't there they intrude into his consciousness and it feels like they are there after all.

The battle was intense and worrisome here and there, but everything turned out great.  Total victory with no losses.  But that isn't the real battle.  The real battle is which of these girls will steal Yuu's heart!  Who will marry Yuu????  In the epilogue it shows him getting along well with everyone, but in book 14 he already signaled dissatisfaction with such a compromise.  At some point he'll have to make up his mind -- what does he really want?

This book has no answer to that.  Hopefully the next volume, EX, will.  If it doesn't the ending will be as unsatisfactory as Eromanga Sensei, To Love ru and Death March.  It's totally fine if he gets with everyone, I'd especially like it if he got with Mitsuki and Iris, or he could end up with only Iris, or he could marry Firill and leave it at that -- so long as he makes a decision!  I want him to actively decide his future and accept the consequences whatever they are.  That's what a protagonist does -- they make decisions.

One more book to discuss what really matters.  Romance!
