Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has many catchy tunes, but I'd neglected to include Gormott Province (Day) in my music hall of fame. I added it in and presto, back to 5480. Where it should be!
Gormott Province (Day) is by ACE+, which led me to think that a lot of my Xenoblade Chronicles 2 songs were mislabeled as by Yasunori Mitsuda but were actually composed by ACE+. I looked it up and sure enough, I had mislabeled 14 songs as Yasunori Mitsuda songs which were actually composed by his teammates -- 5 by ACE+, 3 by Kenji Hiramatsu, and 6 by Manami Kiyota.
Now my music hall of fame properly honors the actual composers of those songs and attributes them correctly. (If you want to know the exact songs you can always check out all the details in my permapost. Do a keyword search for ACE, Kenji and Manami and there the song names will be) This also means Yasunori Mitsuda sank to 4th in songs composed, his eternal rival Hitoshi Sakimoto slipping past him again.
Once I listen to all my songs 100 times and start rating them by quality instead of quantity I'm sure Yasunori will pull ahead again, but that's still a year from now. For now Hitoshi gets the honor of 3rd place.
Meanwhile, Garbage's new album has a name and release date: No Gods no Monsters, 6/11/21.
