Winter 2021 Anime Preview:

One Pace released a revised Romance Dawn version so I went ahead and replaced the original anime with that.  Strangely enough that expands the series by one episode when the whole point of One Pace was to shrink the series, but it's better to be consistent and own either one version or the other when possible.

That moves my top anime rankings unit count up to 8960, still smaller than it was years ago.  I'd like to pierce the 9,000 barrier due to its significance as a number for anime, but it doesn't look like that will happen this year.  Sometime soon in winter 2021 I'll reclaim that vaunted spot!  Kamitachi, Kuma Kuma, and Kamisama all tried their best but the K's kouldn't put me over the top.  So close!

One Pace still has a lot of work left to do -- we need the rest of Post-War, Drum Island, Skypeia, Wano, and Water 7, as well as the as-yet untouched Jaya, Alabasta and Baratie arcs.  I wish they'd focus on Baratie since it was so bad -- getting it shorter should be a priority.  But anything anywhere would be nice.  I want to transition fully over to One Pace and stop relying on this chimera already.

Shingeki no Kyojin resumes in a few days, that will be the the end of the fall season's debuts.  Then comes the winter season.  What do we have to look forward to?

So 16 guaranteed hits and 9 more chances, meaning next winter could be even more fun than this fall.  Well, not really, because there's no way there will be as many great series airing with all the K's going away.  But a very good winter nevertheless!  Non Non Biyori is the standout this time.

Maybe we'll finally get to see the Shirobako movie while we're at it?  The movie is slated for blu-ray release in Japan this January.  Then again, Crest of the Stars came out in blu-ray in 2019 and it still hasn't been fansubbed. . .

In WoW I now have 1 max level 60 character and 22 what-used-to-have-been max level 50 characters.  I'm missing a representative from only one race, the Nightborne, because the Demon Hunter class insists on being either blood elf or night elf, forcing me to double up on that front.  I'll probably give in and make a Nightborne character eventually but I should focus on getting through the new Shadowlands content for now.

When you look at Shadowlands it is pretty sparse, content wise.  No new classes or races.  Not as many zones as previous expansions either.  It's making me look back on Battle for Azeroth fondly.  Hopefully they roll out some additional content soon or this expansion will get old fast.

Aiyoku's translation check is taking longer than I expected, so that will probably occur sometime in the winter of 2021 as well.  The only fun things left slated for December are a volume of Choyoyu manga, the Wonder Woman movie and the latest Hataraku Maou-sama! light novel.  So really WoW is going to have to carry the entire month on its own.  Surely a new expansion has at least one full month of new content to play around in. . .
