The party didn't re-unite this volume, but it looks like they're slated to next volume. At least they're all in the same general area now and all share a common foe. For some reason Haruhiro and co. have been struck by a new bout of amnesia, but apparently it hasn't made much difference since they never really knew how to interact with each other in the first place.
There was plenty of meaningful plot progress in this book, something that hardly ever happens in Grimgar. This is because the author is now trying to wrap the story up instead of draw it out. Go figure, the book is more interesting this way.
Either the volunteer soldiers will defeat the Alliance of Kings or the Alliance of Kings will defeat the volunteer soldiers, this is the last push either way.
Either Haruhiro's party will get along and Haruhiro will get hitched or they'll all die, it's one or the other. I'd rather win this war than escape back to Earth via some wormhole or other. Everyone who came to Grimgar found life on Earth insufferable, that's why they were transported by God to this new world in the first place. They fit in better here. They should carve out their own niche in life by retaking their homeland once and for all.
Sadly, the only other fiction book coming out this August is SAO volume 20, which is still weeks away. . .
