The PS5 Dilemma:

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 comes out this March, but the PS5 doesn't come out until November 2020.  It doesn't make much sense to play FF 7 on anything less than the best system out there, especially when the subsequent parts will be released intentionally for the PS5.  So is it better to get instant gratification and buy the game in March?  Or wait until November and buy the game for the PS5?

2020 has a lot to look forward to -- the translated conclusion of Dimension W, the Tokyo Olympics, the remainder of SAO Alicization, Railgun S3. . . in fact, 30 of my top ranked anime are still releasing new content into the future.  But I can't help but feel Final Fantasy 7 Remake is going to be the most important aspect of the entire year.  Should I really undercut it with an underpowered system?

A lot about 2020 is hazy.  If Trump is re-elected, America's golden age of peace and prosperity will continue for an unprecedented length.  However, if Warren is elected, we'll be well on our way to a socialist dystopia.  The entire country's wealth will be obliterated.  It makes it hard to say whether 2020 will be a good thing or a bad thing.  It could be a good thing, it could also be a very bad thing.

Perhaps the worst aspect of this dread is we won't know until the very end of the year.  Before then we'll be idly enjoying bowl season, the Super Bowl, March Madness, the Olympics, and a whole host of superhero movies, all while waiting for the other shoe to drop.

In November the Fate/kaleid liner ova comes out, and in December the new Code Geass movie should arrive in blu-ray.  Outbreak Company's volume 12 releases on New Year's Eve of all things.  The final Skywalker Saga Star Wars movie still awaits us.  2019 has a plethora of awesome stuff still coming.  It kinda makes 2020 look like chop suey.

Perhaps there will be some long awaited visual novel releases, like Rewrite+ and Aiyoku no Eustia.  That could bail the year out.  One thing we know for sure we're not getting in 2020 is Sailor Moon.  The movie only debuts in Japan in September 2020, so the blu-ray release will be well into 2021.  Ugh.  This season has been delayed for so long the voice actors could die before we reach season 5.

The newest season of Pretty Cure is apparently going to be called Healin' Good Precure.  Will it be as good as Star Twinkle?  Doubtful. . .but I sure hope it is, because I need some more decent Pretty Cure characters to fill out the children's names in 100 Waifus.

They would be my final necessary edits to the story.  But even now I found some useful edits to make -- I respelled Myucel's name to Myusel and Shin'ichi to Shinichi, in accord with the official English Outbreak Company translation.  I also corrected two other spelling errors while I was at it having nothing to do with names.  All before I even embark upon my 14th read-through.

The story will keep improving until there's nothing left to improve upon.
