100 Waifus DLC Pack 2:

Why are there suddenly 3 more chapters of 'In Another World With 100 Waifus' ?  There are a few reasons.  One is it's always nice to end on a nice even 50 chapters, as compared to the previous 47.

:).  Okay that genuinely wasn't the important reason.

The next reason was I felt there were still a lot of wives that, at this rate, would remain almost wholly unaddressed.  I wanted to make sure I struck up a conversation with these girls at least once in the story.  Even with this, that standard hasn't been met.  But at least it's closer to being met than before.  This allowed me to cover the never before featured Menma, Nanoha, Fate, Teletha and Mikan.  Other obscure girls also get little vignettes so it's a great resource for all the neglected heroines.

The third and most important reason is that my name gallery was full to bursting so I wanted to bring them into this world where all the children shared hall of fame quality names.  100 Waifus serves a double function, not only is it the greatest book ever, but it's also a fictional character hall of fame.  Whenever a fictional character is impressive enough, it eventually shows up as a child in Eden.

When there were still so many fictional characters I wished to honor and include, the story simply couldn't end.  There had to be at least one more wave of children, and so I made it happen.  It feels like Eden is such a loving setting that it can support any number of name waves.  Luckily, at least for now, I'm all out of names, so perhaps 100 Waifus really can stop at 50 chapters.

Part 6 of 100 Waifus also tries to tie up some loose ends and answer some lingering questions.  The story is definitely the better for having it.  When a story ambitiously sets off with over 100 characters to talk about, it feels like no amount of length can really do them proper justice.  But every additional bit of length helps.

Another reason I wanted a Part 6 to 100 Waifus is I'm never happier than when I'm writing for this story.  This is, more or less, my depiction of Paradise, and so it's no surprise that writing about it, thinking about it, immersing myself in it, has become a favorite pastime.  I guess you could say the biggest reason I wrote a Part 6 is that I wanted to read it myself.

For those who have read parts 1-5, by all means continue enjoying the story with part 6.  For those who haven't read any of 100 Waifus, I encourage you to check out Part 1 and see what the hype is all about:  https://diamed-the-road-less-traveled.blogspot.com/2019/02/in-another-world-with-100-waifus-part-1.html
