Terra Battle 2 Music:

Terra Battle's music was really good, so I was expecting greatness from the soundtrack of Terra Battle 2, which only came out today via youtube, a few days after the freeware game was released to the world.

Unfortunately, that's not what happened.  Most of the songs were accidentally time warped from the 70's, remixes of the original Terra Battle, or just overly long and drab for no good reason.  There were only 16 songs to begin with, but even that had to be cut down to just seven songs reaching my hall of fame.  I was waiting excitedly for this game to come out and for the chance to expand my music hall of fame, but it's a pretty diminutive impact in the end.  I'm just back to 4313 songs and still at 9.7 days of continuous music.

Xenoblade 2, supposedly, is the most epic and largest musical score Yasunori Mitsuda has ever done, so unlike this pathetic effort by Nobuo Uematsu it should be a serious addition to my lineup.

Well, Terra Battle 2's seven songs is still more than Madonna's entire lifetime contribution, so perhaps I'm judging the game too harshly.  It's just such a disappointing performance compared to the first Terra Battle.  *sigh.*  Oh well.  It sure is a good thing I downloaded the soundtracks to Valkyrie Profile. . .

Next up, Xenoblade 2 Chronicles, which is due to release this December.
