Just days after the final bluray disk was released in Japan, [Karma] has released the final bluray disk subtitled in English for the world to enjoy. Macross Delta is complete and ready for watching (or rewatching, in my case). I've finished rewatching Utawarerumono - Itsuwari no Kamen, so this is perfect timing too. My project to rewatch all great anime ever made continues apace.
Meanwhile, Eromanga Sensei finally aired. This was just a formality, but immediately after airing it joined my top anime rankings. It will be 190th for now, but at the end of the season I'll place it properly. How high this show goes all depends upon how much of the series is animated. If it stops at the first couple books that's as far as it'll go. If it animates the whole thing until the ending it could end up being the #1 greatest anime of all time. For now, though, it can sit in last place, the newly created 190th place, the first great series of the spring season.
Eromanga Sensei has already claimed the spot of 'the best thing that came out this year.' I doubt anyone can best it, even though the summer and fall seasons haven't even played their cards yet. Eromanga Sensei is a story of the century kind of thing, it's going to blow away all competition when it comes to a mere 'best of year.'
Sagiri Izumi (aka Eromanga Sensei, aka whom the series is named after) also immediately got a placement in my 'beautiful anime girls' hall of fame. Was there ever any doubt?
