Anime Roundup #4:

The 2011 anime season is upon us, so it's time to update the rankings and include some new series. The highest new entry is Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The series is only halfway through, but its quality is already obvious. When you watch Madoka, every scene is so important and so unpredictable you don't even want to blink. Other inclusions due to recent input are Broken Blade and Sora No Otoshimono, series that are currently ongoing and going strong. Bakemonogatari only recently finished, and finally gets to join its friend Katanagatari in the rankings. Both stories are by the same author, so its no wonder they're both so good, but I think Katanagatari is the finer of the two. Bleach is also ongoing, and one of the reasons it finally made the list was just how long its become. Churn out enough episodes and practically anything can reach an entertainment threshold comparable to lone movies. Another reason is its genuine art and music quality that makes the story easy on the eyes. Nausicaa is a beautiful old Miyazaki movie that flows along the same lines as Mononoke Hime, always a good model. RG Veda is a beautiful old Clamp work, Iria: Zeiram the Animation an action-packed old sci-fi, and Saber Marionette is a touching old sci-fi romance. Sora no Manimani just presents wonderful people going about their daily lives. Its simplicity is its strength.

A new anime roundup is also a new chance to include good new anime openings and endings. Those that aren't continuously hidden via copyright protection lawsuits, at least, as though showing off anime openings and endings does anything but encourage people to purchase anime! Let's see what I can round up this time:
