I continue to refine my wonderful character list while staying within the bounds of various constraints -- I have to maintain all the songs I'm already using as personal themes and cap the number of characters at 1400. Luckily this was possible because Xianghua's personal theme is 'bloom and harvest,' her theme song from Soul Calibur 1, and also a 5-star song I already own. All I had to do was move the theme song over to Xianghua.
I took out Nasa from Tonikaku Kawaii to stay at 1400 characters overall. Nasa is smart and nice, but I can't stand the fact that he's a married man who still doesn't get any sex with his wife. I can't stand pussies, and a husband who doesn't get to have sex with his wife is the definition of a pussy. I also can't stand Tsukasa for not giving Nasa the sex he deserves, but Nasa is equally to blame for not insisting on it.
Xianghua meanwhile has all the proper traits of a hero. She's brave, friendly and determined, very much not a pussy. She's actually the protagonist of the entire Soul Calibur series, as she's the wielder of the holy sword Soul Calibur that saves the world from the evil Soul Edge. She grows through training and fights from a humble beginner to the ultimate warrior, outpacing all the predecessors around her. On top of that she's beautiful and graceful in battle. She has many great costumes across her many game appearances. The fact that the very best Soul Calibur song is her theme song isn't a coincidence. The composer obviously upped his effort to match her worth.
Currently I'm working to make my 1-star and 2-star tiers of music more accurate. I've found a number of 1-star songs worth promoting and a number of 2-star songs worth demoting, so the improvement will be noticeable once I'm finished. I've also found a website that can identify all my FF 14 music and give the songs their proper titles, instead of 'track 50' or 'track 71.' Unfortunately it has a daily limit of songs it will label, so getting the accurate titles for all my FF 14 music is going to take weeks. I can't wait, though. These basically nameless FF 14 songs have been the fly in the ointment of my music hall of fame for years now. Finally I can share with the outside world what songs I'm actually referring to when I say 'this song is great.'
If Heaven Burns Red follows its previous release schedule, Chapter 5 Part 2 would come out sometime this December, but for some reason it's predicted that Part 2 won't come out until next summer. I guess that gives me plenty of time to grind up my skills and limit breaks, which ultimately I'm going to need to beat Apophis. For now I'm replaying Chapter 5 Part 1, so that I can proclaim I've replayed the whole game again.
