Amon R level 3 defeated:

Vampire Charlotta already came in handy.  This is the fire orb boss, so my fire crew couldn't do anything against this boss.  My second best group of girls is my thunder squad, and my worst squad is ice, so even though the boss was weak to ice my only option was to fight it with thunder.

Vampire Charlotta's special ability is to forcibly make an enemy weak to thunder regardless of what their prior elemental affinity was, though, so suddenly Amon R was weak to my thunder squad.  Even more impressive, this ability is permanent throughout the long orb boss fight.  Vampire Charlotta doesn't have even a single limit break, but the ability was so important I used her to take down the boss anyway.  I knew all my investment into Charlotta made some sort of cosmic sense!

Kimono Tama, swimsuit Sumomo and pajamas Hisame are regulars of the thunder squad and they all did a great job, which is expected of them since they're my highest level characters.  Waitress Erika is another regular of the thunder squad and her Angel Wings which completely nullifies enemy attacks for two turns was of course integral to my strategy.  Her Cream Soda Beam attack also came in handy near the end of the battle.  Sumomo did most of the damage while Hisame's Dreaming Desire attack restored everyone's SP (the enemy had 3 break bars so I got a lot of extra SP).  Tama buffed and healed, but she also occasionally threw in her Bright Spark attack.  Bright Spark is mainly about buffing everyone else's thunder attack skill damage, but it does a noticeable amount of damage itself.

The final character in this Amon-R-takedown squad was celestial Seika.  I needed her for both of her exclusive abilities -- Sap n' Zap to change the environmental field effect from fire (which favored Amon R) to thunder (which favors my party.)  So first she did that task, which once done is true for the rest of the battle.  Then she focused on giving up to crit and crit damage to Sumomo with Absolute Phenomenon.  Most of Sumomo's damage actually came from Seika's skill, but of course, Seika's skill wouldn't have achieved much buffing anyone else, so they're both vital.

Mari is the better buffer but she can't change field effects like Seika can so Seika was the better choice this time around.  Like Charlotta, Seika doesn't have a single limit break to her name, but she was still out there doing her best at a measly level 138.  This party was not at all about strength and all about the perfect set of skills.  Everyone but Sumomo (who is max level with 4 limit breaks and an eternal daphne) wore fire element damage down bracelets so they could survive the boss' attacks.  I farmed Amon R's level 2 version for a long time to get those bracelets.

This was the toughest and final Orb Boss III level 3.  There are Orb Boss IV's coming up, but they aren't released yet, so for now the only bosses I can't beat are the final two Anachronies.  I'm not much stronger than I was a month or two ago when I previously attempted to take out Apophosis.  The only character that's relevant to the Apophosis fight that's improved is swimsuit Yuina, and I just don't think she alone can make that much of a difference.  My previous try at Apophosis I broke his dp bar, but his hp bar was another story, I couldn't even put a dent in it.  Getting a slightly higher limit break for Yuina isn't going to change that.

I honestly think Apophosis was meant to only be beaten by a full squad of limit break 4 girls, all with eternal daphnes, which would mean at least 6 if not 12 of them, and currently I only have 2.

I completed Charlotta's 'nightmare' campaign but to my dismay it didn't reward me any SS Memorias, so it was mainly just a funny side story.  That makes my purchase of vampire Charlotta all the wiser, because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten her at all.

I completed Ruka's 'burning ignition' skill evolution so now she can wield 3 EX skills simultaneously, more than any other seraph, which I guess is proper given that she's the main character.  However, with 0 limit breaks to any of her various SS Memorias, she's a non-entity because said skills don't do any real damage whichever one I use.

Due to the postal system sucking, I only received the last of my FF Magic cards today (nix that, I made a new order plugging some holes in some decks which is now due to arrive August 7th), and it's already time to start ordering cards for the next set, Edge of Eternities.  Unlike the hundreds of cards I purchased from Final Fantasy, I only need 20 or so from this coming set, though.  Which is a relief, budget and time wise.  Aside from land reprints which technically I could have bought earlier but are nicely cheaper now thanks to Edge of Eternities, I have my eyes on Frenzied Baloth for my Beast deck (it will replace Scragnoth since it does Scragnoth's job better than Scragnoth for half the mana cost) and Baloth Prime (this will replace Rampaging Baloths in my Landfall deck, since it has basically the same ability but for two less mana.)

Most of the US press, including the most prestigious New York Times, is now admitting Israel is deliberately starving the civilian population of Gaza to death, which is the textbook definition of genocide (even if the casualty count isn't currently very high.  Though it's impossible to verify the actual casualty count because there aren't regular censuses of the rubble heap known as Gaza anymore.)  Even President Trump now admits this is happening.  What do you know, I was right all along, yet again.  Like always.  It's actually illegal for the USA to support a war criminal state like Israel, but America doesn't follow the rule of law so oh well.  No point whining about it.  I just want to point out that I was against Israel before it was popular to be against Israel.
