Titled 'dai mankai no shou,' it's basically a remake of s2 with a few new details. I considered this a frustrating addition to the series because it never really needed to be made. Nevertheless, it's Yuuki Yuuna. When a series this good gets new episodes you have to watch them. It's like the new Uma Musume anime. I doubt they're a good idea or necessary, but you bet I'll be watching them all the same. And when said series comes out in bluray it's time to update archives so that the top series are seen only in their top form. This will be my next rewatch project now that Shiroi Suna and Edens Zero are done.
However, Yuuki Yuuna takes a back seat to Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Two things were keeping me from saying I had truly beaten Fire Emblem. On one side, I hadn't purchased the 'expansion pass,' a bundle of downloadable content with a new side story and new content for the main story. On the other, I had only beat the game in 'casual' mode without permadeath. I hadn't won in 'classical' mode where any mistake is instantly game over.
For a mere $27, the new content is a steal. I downloaded it, patched my game, beat the new side story, and am now hard at work on a new game in 'maddening' difficulty 'classical' mode. The four new characters and their four new classes they represent are super fun. It feels like the game always meant to include them and it isn't an expansion but the true form of the game all along. If I go the whole hog, I could play every arc at this difficulty and thus double the length of this game. From over 300 hours to over 600 hours, all for just $27. With nothing better to do this May or June, Fire Emblem Neo Three Houses has come to save the day.
