I've been waiting a long time for a decent visual novel, any visual novel, to come out, and mangagamer has delivered while all the fan translators are procrastinating. For the cheap price of $23, Trinoline Genesis is a worthwhile buy and a good way to encourage mangagamer to translate more good visual novels in a timely manner.
Now that I have Trinoline Genesis to play, even the days between nfl playoff games will be great.
Meanwhile, I've continued to replace instrumental themes with vocalist themes. The latest victims are Hitoshi Sakimoto, Yasunori Mitsuda, Motoi Sakuraba, Koji Kondo, Junichi Nakatsuru, Paul Romero and Randy Edelman, while the beneficiaries are Wake Up, Girls!, Yuka Iguchi, Yoko Ishida, Bonnie Pink, Emi Nitta, Houkago Tea Time, Cyntia, SCANDAL, HARUHI, ORIGA, BoA, Miwa, Kaori Mizuhashi, Houko Kuwashima, Suara and Jun Maeda. Jun Maeda especially benefitted with two new songs promoted to 5-star, Watari no Toki from Rewrite and Yake Ochinai Tsubasa from Charlotte. Promoting Jun Maeda songs to 5-star is as self-evidently a good idea as scooping up $100 bills from the sidewalk. You can't go wrong.
I also went ahead and re-classified some of the dubiously categorized 'game' songs to 'anime' songs like I was talking about the day before and with that I'm up to 1.1 days of anime music, 420 entries, or 38.2%. That's the kind of limelight anime deserves.
None of the instrumentals were bad, they were just worse than what the vocalists were offering. Eventually this should cease to be the case, as the remaining instrumentals are all superior to what's been cut and the remaining vocals are all inferior to what's been promoted, I just haven't reached that convergence point yet. It should all be over in the next few days.
