What joyous news! A second season of an isekai series, Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko. This almost never happens! When I update my rankings this July I'll be sure to notch up Kami-tachi based on this news, probably to #130.
If they only announced it now the earliest we could see the product is in 2022, but my rankings take into account what will happen in the future.
This also makes me feel more confident in my decision to rank this show in the first place. I'm not the only one who thought this series was special and deserved more. In fact, a second season of Kami-tachi was on my anime wishlist. No longer, wish fulfilled. I replaced it with a wish for more Futari Ecchi (yeah, not gonna happen, but that's why it's called a wishlist, not a prediction list.)
This is exactly how my rankings are going to grow to 10,000 episodes. Sequels and spinoffs of the currently existent top 200 franchises already on the list. The series we already have are evergreen.
