Okay, this is really the last time this year. No more! I'm fatigued! I'm exhausted! And I'm done!
This read through did feature a ton of edits. Even after I added the extra Lucy and Sherria content, I ended up moving some names around so that the mother-child pairings were more suitable, which took another dose of effort. One big change was my realization that Eustia was a winged girl and therefore a perfect fit for being a daughter of Cute-sama. With this all five of Cute's daughters are proper angels both in their source work and in Eden.
Beyond all else the proofreading was hellish. It was so thorough, and those awful was/were controversies. ::shudder:: To the very end I found important things to proofread, though. For instance, Kudryavka's name was lacking an 'r' in one instance. Oops! That 'r' is pretty important. Now it's back where it belongs.
It can't get any more professional looking than this. If my hawk eyes haven't caught the problem in 16 readings then no one can.
The editing process this time could really tell there wasn't much left to fix or add. Everything was pretty close to perfect already. I'm confident that the 16th outing put on all the finishing touches.
I'll change some children's names out in the future for better names, but all in all that's a minor issue. The names already in the book are pretty darn good already.
Not only is this the sixteenth time I've read the book this year, it's also the second time I've read it this month. Only a god-like book could garner that much affection. The proof is in the pudding, or in this case the reading. If someone likes some other book more than mine, then they can go ahead and read it 17 times in the same year and prove me wrong. Otherwise. . .
This was the first read-through with all the new changes from the previous time, though, and I was impressed how smoothly it fit in and what excellent changes they were. The 16th read-through was mainly a quality check on the 15th edition edits, and they passed with flying colors.
As always I encourage everyone to read this book and will provide the necessary links:

This time around I liked some portions more than others, but the entire book was worth reading 16 times so that's pretty nitpicky. For people reading it the first time all of it should be fantastic.
I'll probably refrain from re-reading this story a 17th time until the various character names are all changed to my satisfaction. With no other changes until then, there wouldn't be much point.
This year was about finishing my novel. Next year can be about something else.
