Visual Novel News:

Some exciting developments on the visual novel front -

Da Capo 4 has been announced.  Manga Gamer has translated the original three, so it stands to reason that we'll eventually get an English version of Da Capo 4 as well.  Every Da Capo game so far has been a masterpiece, so I expect no different from this one.

Summer Pockets is already out in Japan.  A fan translation group has begun translating this newest key work into English.  So hopefully we'll get to read it eventually.  Perhaps more importantly, the soundtrack to Summer Pockets is supposed to come out in just three days.  More Jun Maeda and Shinji Orito music is more important than whatever dumb story Summer Pockets is about, and it doesn't require a translator.

There was supposed to be an anime of Summer Pockets, but it seems that plan was shelved at some point.  As such, the visual novel receiving a proper translation is tremendously important.  As things stand we still don't have Rewrite: Harvest Festa in English.  One missing Key visual novel from the English canon is enough.

I grudgingly updated my fall anime preview to include seven more shows that might be worthwhile, based on random curiosity's exhaustive summaries of all the coming shows:  https://diamed-the-road-less-traveled.blogspot.com/2018/08/fall-2018-anime-preview.html

The fall season is still weeks away, so we'll just have to make do with football until then.

A lot of mainstream websites and personages are taking note of Africa's overly high fertility rate.  Even Bill Gates has chimed in.  The problem is that the solution to this problem ranges from: 'we should just let Africa populate the entire world' to 'mumble mumble access to contraception and education mumble mumble maybe it will work out somehow.'

I'm fairly certain the whole world agrees on the facts now, no one is disputing anything I've said.  It's just that the obvious and only solution, that we recolonize Africa and stop their horrendous ways by force, is ignored in favor of surrender and death.  No one's even willing to sink the invasion fleet heading across the Mediterranean as we speak.  It would be so easy.  What is the point of a navy that doesn't defend our borders from invasion?  Why is Europe so damn clueless as to what is going to happen to it, after we've already had the examples of South Africa, Rhodesia and Haiti made so explicitly clear?

It feels like the same lack of will to resist invasion also extends to a lack of will to reproduce, and ultimately explains the drug and alcohol and suicide epidemic.  The entire west is just exhausted and unable to maintain basic life functions.  It's almost too much effort to breathe.  Defending oneself is just out of the question.  Never mind colonizing the planet or the stars.  I've never seen an era so defined by weakness and vacillation.  At least China's still active and doing things in the world.  From building new rail lines between their major cities, to growing their economy to near par with Europe's, to extending their military bases into the south sea, China still feels and acts alive.

If they could use that wonderful authoritarian government, now clearly shown to be infinitely superior to our farce of a democracy (where one liar in all of America is able to veto and nullify the entire electorate of the United States' decisions), to require women to have two children instead of their current preference for one, they would be the healthiest and brightest future of mankind.  Unlike Japan and South Korea, who are democratic and thus incapable of compelling women to do anything, China still has all its power in the hands of responsible men.  Xi Jinping should lead the world into a new, non-exhausted, non-nihilistic, non-hopeless and tired age.  Whites have simply given up.  We don't even want to live anymore.  But China could still change everything.  They're the only ones who could change everything.
