Anime Wishlist Updated:

I decided it made no sense to have wishes for more of a franchise to be animated when the producers had already announced said franchise would have additional content animated.  Therefore, I remodeled my anime wishlist to be 100 franchises which have zero content promised of any sort for them, not even a movie or a short ova.

The producers could argue, if I demanded additional content to what's already been announced to be airing in the future, that they were going to get around to it eventually, but they had to do 'x' project related to the franchise first, and I just needed to be more patient.  I don't think that's a very good argument (how does having Zokuowarimonogatari change the fact that books 19-28 of the Monogatari series still aren't being animated?), but it's a plausible argument.  And since I phrased my wishlist as 'the 100 inexcusable tragedies of anime', emphasis on inexcusable, it's no good if they have an excuse, even a lame one.

I want an additional season of Eromanga Sensei, but so long as they're still producing an ova, they can argue that everything will come with time, and I just need to hold my horses.  I can only start complaining again once this stupid ova has been released and nothing else has been announced to take its place.

This led to a lot of lower priority projects taking the place of higher priority projects on the list, but in exchange now they're all clean demands for series which have zero official support and clearly need all the fan help they can get.

With that in mind, here's the new Anime Wishlist:

Anime Wishlist:

There are 28 anime in my great anime rankings that have a solid start, who are sorely lacking a proper ending, and whose source material has already ended, giving the shows a perfect opportunity for a solid ending, whenever they see fit to continue their already halfway finished series.  The fact that studios haven't acted upon these golden opportunities is an inexcusable tragedy.  The series that qualify for this infamy are listed in the order of their severity.

Wanting an anime adaption can be about two different things, though.  In one case, it's just because the music, voice acting, animation and color would be preferable to the previous source.  But as a burning secondary issue, it's because anime is more likely to be translated than any other source material.  For shows with untranslated source material, the wish to have an anime doubles as a wish to finally have the product translated and be able to enjoy it in any way whatsoever.  As a result, the two categories must be broken down into two groups, the series I'd like to see animated most despite already being translated in other ways due to the added value nature of anime, and the series I'd like to see animated mostly just because I want a translation of the subject material to finally be forthcoming and there doesn't seem to be any other way than this wish being granted for such an event to happen.  The first group will be the anime for animation's sake, as the * next to the product means the source material is already fully available translated in non-anime form, and the second group will be for the translation's sake, as the lack of a * shows there's still no english version whatsoever of the product available anyone could enjoy:

1.  Bleach *
2.  Utawarerumono (game 3) *
3.  Ranma 1/2 *
4.  H2 *
5.  Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu *
6.  History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi *
7.  Da Capo III (main game) *
8.  Flame of Recca *
9.  Miyuki *
10.  Umineko no naku koro ni (Chiru) *
11.  Ao Haru Ride *
12.  High School of the Dead *
13.  K-On! *
14.  Gate *
15.  Tales of Vesperia *
16.  Hikaru no Go *
17.  Touch *

1.  PapaKiki
2.  Nanoha Vivid
3.  Haganai
4.  Outbreak Company
5.  Btooom!
6.  Hanayamata
7.  Kimi ni Todoke
8.  Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku
9.  Sore ga Seiyuu!
10.  Kyoukai no Rinne
11.  Sakura Trick

There are other groups of inexcusable tragedies, though.  One group is the shows that wandered off into filler (or super-abridged versions of the content) instead of reaching their proper endings, where you need to not only provide the ending for the show, but also cut out the filler/abridged-content that already infests the show like a malignant disease in order to correct the horribly skewed timeline.

1.  Akame ga Kill! (starting from ep 19 till ending) *
2.  Claymore (starting from the war in the north) *
3.  Rurouni Kenshin (starting from the end of the Kyoto arc) *
4.  Sora no Otoshimono (starting from the end of Forte) *
5.  Soul Eater (starting from the death of that coffee loving guy) *

1.  Major (starting from the end of the tv series)

Some series are so screwed up by filler that, even though they've been animated before, require a complete and total remake which this time follows the source faithfully in order to be salvaged.  As a bonus, this remake should also extend to the duration of the newest released material, as opposed to wherever they ended previously in their fillericious snarls, which sometimes means all the way to the proper ending of the source material:

1.  Negima/UQ Holder *
2.  Freezing *
3.  Rewrite *
4.  I"s *
5.  Full Moon o Sagashite *
6.  Rosario Vampire *

1.  12 Kingdoms
2.  Tales of Eternia
3.  Zero no Tsukaima

Some series don't need a complete and total remake, they just need some things added in and/or some things subtracted out to reach their full potential by better matching their source:

1.  Hayate no Gotoku *
2.  The World God Only Knows *
3.  Bastard! *
4.  Gokukoku no Brynhildr *
5.  Prince of Tennis *

1.  Amagi Brilliant Park
2.  No Game No Life
3.  Zettai Karen Children
4.  Joukamachi no Dandelion

Some series haven't even been animated yet despite the amazing quality of the source:

1.  SAO: Progressive *
2.  Shinohayu: Dawn of Age *
3.  Akame ga Kill! Zero *
4.  Tales of Xillia *
5.  Tales of Graces *
6.  Toki *
7.  Freezing Zero/Pair Love Stories/First Chronicle *
8.  Osananajimi wa Daitouryou *
9.  Tomoyo After Story *
10.  Harmonia *
11.  Nanoha Force *
12.  Strobe Edge *
13.  Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare *
14.  Eden's Zero *
15.  Ad Astra per Aspera *

1.  Da Capo I, II and III Untold Routes/Spinoffs
2.  Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete
3.  Majikoi S/A
4.  Angel Beats (Knocking on Heaven's Door prequel)
5.  Junai Sensation
6.  MIX
7.  Sakura Zensen
8.  Tales of Destiny
9.  Lazy Dungeon Master

In addition, there's a lot of series that technically aren't over yet, but do have so much material that whole additional story arcs could be animated, in which case the series would be much better than it currently is.  When a source has tons of material left to cover and the anime studio refuses to move, that's cause for concern, even if technically they could be waiting for the ending.  (Odds are they aren't, they're just refusing to animate the show.)

1.  Akatsuki no Yona *
2.  Railgun *
3.  Saki *
4.  Haruhi Suzumiya *
5.  Death March *
6.  Spice/Parchment and Wolf  *
7.  Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun *
8.  Break Blade *
9.  Hyouka *
10.  New Game *

1.  Hai to Gensou no Grimgar
2.  Seikai no Senki
3.  Juuou Mujin no Fafnir
4.  Maria-sama ga Miteru
5.  Rokka no Yuusha
6.  Ryuuou no Oshigoto!
7.  Oreshura
8.  Imouto Sae Ireba ii
9.  Guyver
10.  Hataraku Maou-sama!
11.  Mikakunin de Shinkoukei
12.  Locodol
13.  SAOAGGO
14.  Suka Suka/EX/Mou Ichido

These are the 100 Inexcusable Tragedies of Anime.  The anime industry has let us down not once, not twice, but 100 times.  Anime fans are in the most abusive relationship in history. . .

While I was at it, I dropped 'Warm-a-live', which was suspiciously close to a remix of 'Live-a-Live', and added 'Joe' from The Cranberries in its place, in my music hall of fame.  The total is still 5266 songs totaling 11.9 days of continuous music, but now my playlist is just that little bit better.

Meanwhile, Trump nominated an amazing Supreme Court Justice, the most conservative of the bunch, who's rock solid on immigration.  I continue to love this Presidency more than any other in my life.  Now it's incumbent upon the supposedly majority Republican Senate to stand up for what they say they believe in and approve this nomination.  The sooner the better.  The moment this guy gets in we can rest easy that the Supreme Court won't suddenly proclaim open borders or a ban on hate speech for the next twenty years.  Which means, at least for the rest of my life, I'll have nothing to worry about.  Of course, it sucks to be the next generation in a country that's going to hell, but that's not my problem.  By electing Donald Trump, I've given myself an easy life for life.  People younger than me are going to have to sort out their own problems in their own ways.

Things looked really grim under Obama.  I was horribly pessimistic.  It looked even worse when they nominated that She-Satan Hillary to be our next president.  But by the grace of God Donald Trump won and now he's getting to fill up the entire Supreme Court with his guys.  And with the Supreme Court at my back I fear nothing.  What can the elected branch of government do against the Supreme Court?  Nothing.  It would have to pass a constitutional amendment, which requires the approval of 2/3 of the states and 2/3 of the Senate, to overrule our newly conservative court, and Democrats won't have that much of a demographic majority even in 2100.  So what can they possibly do to me now?  Nothing, that's what.  I'm free.  I'm finally safe and free from the most evil people in history.

* (Why are they the most evil?  Not because they're the people with the worst morality of all time, that would go to the Aztecs or somebody.  But because they're doing the most harm in history.  They're tearing down something very high utility, and doing it to a much larger population, which makes them the most harmful, negative utility group in history, despite not being as depraved as other groups one could mention.  It's because they're taking us the furthest backward, not because they are the most backward.)

Donald Trump was right.  This was the most important election in American history, and the last chance to save America from total destruction.  But he won.  We won.  And now we get the fruits of that victory -- Justice Kavanaugh.  Our shield for life.  It's still almost hard to believe.  Like a time traveler must have intervened and put us on the beta timeline in order to save history from what originally happened.  For all I know that's exactly what did happen.  Or maybe God just personally intervened Himself because even He couldn't stand to see Hillary elected President.  At this point I just don't know.  How on Earth were we so lucky, so blessed, as to get Trump elected after two terms of Obama?  How on Earth did the American people wake up and change in such a drastic manner from one guy to the next?  Their political platforms were polar opposites from one another!  If that isn't a miracle what is?

God bless Donald Trump, God bless Brett Kavanaugh, and God bless our 51 seat Republican Senate majority.  Thanks to all of you, I'm destined to have a worry free, problem free, stress free life.  Banzai to life long appointments!  Banzai to the Supreme Court getting the last word on every political issue!  Banzai to the two more justices we're going to get even after Kavanaugh once Trump is re-elected with flying colors!  Banzai!  Banzai!  Banzai!
