Winning:

When Trump was elected I said that meant 4 Supreme Court appointments and a lifetime of Republican rule, regardless of any elections that might follow after.  We're on track for that to play out, as Anthony Kennedy has just announced his retirement in July, to be replaced by a more powerful, younger Republican Justice before the midterms, with a surefire Republican majority Senate to appoint him (or I guess her, or xir, or whatever. . .)

This is what winning feels like.  We didn't win anymore, but now we do, every single day.  It's good to live in Trumpland.

Now we just need to replace Clarence Thomas via retirement and RBG via death by old age, and we'll have our four slots sewed up.  It shouldn't take long now, they're all so old it's bound to happen before even the next Presidential election, but even if we had another election Trump is so popular he'd easily win again.  The winning just isn't going to stop.

Meanwhile, I discovered Blitz Ball Gamblers is a remix of Tidus' Theme and eliminated it.  Nobuo Uematsu is so freaking lazy, every other song is just a remix of some other song he's composed.  I just keep finding more.

The world cup has had its ups and downs.  I loved Argentina's winning goal that sent them to the next round, but Germany's play was just embarrassing.

Hopefully Japan will qualify tomorrow, we'll just have to wait and see.

The summer anime season is upon us, but I may not be able to keep up with its new releases so long as the World Cup is ongoing.  If so I'll get back to reporting on it later.
