Durarara Ten hasn't even been out for a year and we've already got the blu-ray version subbed. That alacrity would be nice if it applied to Ketsu as well, but Ketsu isn't even out in Japan yet so we'll just have to wait and see on that one.
Until all of Durara is out in blu-ray, shou, ten, and ketsu, there's little point in rewatching the series, but collecting it now isn't a bad idea for when that day comes.
The NBA finals ended in memorable fashion. It was a close game to the very last minute, until Lebron James did an amazing leap and blocked a shot from well behind the person laying it up, which led to Irving getting a 3 pointer on the other side, and the rest was history. Cleveland has its first championship of any sort since 1964. Also, this is the first time, in 33 tries, an NBA team has come back from 3-1 down and won the finals 4-3. Lebron James proved in a rather clear fashion that he, not Michael Jordan, is the best to ever live at this game. He brought Cleveland from zeros who never even made the playoffs to champions in just two years, against the best regular-season winning team in NBA history. Wow.
Gajeel is back in the latest chapter of Fairy Tail. So is Zera of all people. No one dies in Fairy Tail. It may as well be written as one of the laws of physics in this world. Well, I guess if that's the sort of ever-cheerful mood you want to set for this series, I can't complain too much about it. There's always Akame ga Kill! for when we want to investigate a more serious fantasy world.
One Piece has entered a filler arc so my anime watching schedule has dipped down to 13 shows. In actuality it's just 11 shows though, because neither 12 Sai nor Kuromukuro's latest episodes have been subbed. *Sigh*
I've reached Hataraku Maou-sama's tenth volume, but I'm taking a break in favor of Juuou Mujin no Fafnir's 4th volume because Hataraku just isn't the quality I would wish from it. If I'm to survive the entire series I'll have to start reading it in moderation, just like sipping arsenic.
Fafnir isn't that good either, though. The anime was so excellent because of the great art, voice acting and music, the writing was only a solid foundation. The light novels, as a result, don't come across as nearly as riveting as the anime did. Whether I read Hataraku or Fafnir is just a question of whether I want to tack towards Scylla or Charybdis.
Only one more episode of Game of Thrones before the long season 7 wait begins. It's very frustrating, however, to know virtually everything we're seeing is probably not true in the actual canon Winds of Winter book. I bet Stannis takes Winterfell no problem in the real story. It's also frustrating to realize that the book series will probably never end, just like Wheel of Time where the author died first.
Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru I just realized has been out for some time now. The Labyrinth of Grisaia visual novel, which presumably has more content than was shown in the anime adaption, is coming out in the next few days as well. The Grisaia series continues to expand into every corner of our hearts.
