Precure Reaches 600!:

Pretty Cure joins the 600 club, previously occupied solely by One Piece, in the number of distinct non-filler episodes/movies aired.  These two shows are longer by far than anyone else, but they continue to compete neck and neck with each other year after year.

Both One Piece and Pretty Cure need a lot more episodes to reach their full potential, so I don't see these steamships slowing down any time soon.

There's no better way to ring in the new year than Pretty Cure reaching a new record in length.  But there's also some other fun things to notice.  The SEC has totally dominated football this year, winning both the Cotton and Sugar bowl.  Like usual, and as the experts keep saying year after year, the SEC is the best conference in college football, no matter how jealous that makes the rest of the country.  Facts are just facts.

Saki's semifinal match has concluded in the manga.  This is exactly what my anime wishlist has been anticipating for months.  By the time a new season of Saki anime could be made, the manga's semifinal arc would be finished, so I figured they should go ahead and announce the next season already.  Now the manga has finished the next arc, a perfect stopping point for the next season of Saki to cover, but still no Saki anime announcement has been made.  This is why it's on my anime wishlist as one of the 100 greatest tragedies in anime.  A nigh-perfect manga should be allowed to be animated from start to finish, not ended randomly in the middle of the tournament.  What we've all been waiting for in this manga still lies ahead of us, the championship game.  This isn't the time to give up!

2016 is going to be a fantastic year.  Between Rewrite, the Rio Olympics, some 7 comic book movies, Game of Thrones, Daredevil, Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Fate/Kaleid Liner Drei, Mahoutskai Precure, Fairy Tail Zero, Final Fantasy XV, World of Warcraft: Legion, Kizumonogatari. . . The list of great entertainment just goes on and on into infinity.  There's no end to stuff to keep occupied with.  Then there's the off chance that Trump wins the election in November and saves America from a dire future by kicking the illegals and the muslims to the curb.

This is definitely a happy new year.  2015 was nothing compared to what 2016 will be.  The year couldn't have come sooner.
