2015 Anime Promises a Lot:

50 different franchises in my anime rankings have either begun this year or added additional content this year to further illustriolize their reputations.  This is a very impressive feat, probably a higher number of content contributions than any previous year in anime.  Go figure, 2014 became the best year in anime due to numbers like this.

But what's impressive is that, simply based on the number of series that are set to air some time in 2015, 37 ranked franchises are set to air sequel content already.  If just thirteen more series decide to air something this coming year, or if thirteen new good series appear never before seen, or some combination of these two events occur, 2015 could quickly surpass 2014 and claim for itself the mantle of best year in anime ever.

Here's a sampling of all the good things we can expect to see happen in 2015 --

One Piece
Naruto
Fairy Tail
Pretty Cure
Code Geass
Fate/Etc
Bake-(etc)-monogatari
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha

2015 hasn't even started yet and we've already been promised all these good things.  Imagine what the situation will look like this summer, when the fall season preview is up and we know everything that will be coming out next year.

Kyoukai no Rinne will begin this spring, which is a surefire success.  In addition, key's newest anime, Charlotte, will unquestionably be good.  That's two more franchises in the bag already, bringing our total up to 39.  Just eleven more slots need to be filled to surpass 2014?  That doesn't sound so hard at all.  2015 is looking to be amazing.  What if we added a translation of all the unsubbed anime that came out in 2014 but hasn't been subbed yet to the list of 2015 anime?  Like the new Hayate ova, for instance?  Or the new Yuru Yuri ova?  Or the Tales of Zestiria special?  Or the new Tari Tari special?  That brings our total up to 43 already.  Only seven more to go that haven't been announced yet.  Is there any doubt we'll manage to scrape up seven new good series over the course of the year?  You can pretty much mail this result in -- 2015 is already shaping up to be the best year in anime.  Again.  Just like 2014 and 2013 before it, anime keeps on traveling to higher and higher heights without ever looking back.  What a good time to be alive.
