Dragon Ball Buu Kai Scheduled For this April!:

The headline says it all.  I've been predicting this for quite some time now, but it's finally happening.  Dragon Ball Kai, the first time the anime has attempted to actually follow the manga, with appropriate pacing and HD remastered graphics, will finally be tackling the final 1/3 of the DBZ storyline.  Buu Kai will revolutionize this segment of the story, making it on par in quality with the previous portions concerning Frieza and Cell.  It's been thirty years, but we'll finally, finally have the anime we originally deserved, the first true Dragon Ball anime that tells the true story from start to finish.

It was based on this prospective Buu Kai release that I have Dragon Ball ranked so highly in my rankings.  This is the most anticipated show imaginable, all across the world fans have been waiting for this moment with baited breath.

Two generations of kids have grown up watching the old DBZ.  But from here on, as a legacy that will go forward for hundreds of additional generations of kids, they'll be watching DB Kai instead.  These kids will watch Kai the first time through, and never realize the misery and hardship their ancestors had to go through watching Dragon Ball Z because there was nothing better on offer.  This is like the greatest gift to the future of mankind possible.  Dragon Ball is so good that people would have continued watching Z forever if we didn't put a stop to it.  And now all of those trillions of people will skip that traumatic experience and dive right into Buu Kai instead.  Hallelujah!

This April announcement joins an already action-packed spring anime schedule.  After what has been the worst anime season on record, we're diving into the best anime season on record.  Apparently everyone decided simultaneously to release during the spring, leaving the winter season gasping for air.  It doesn't matter anymore.  The winter season is almost over, and the spring season is almost here.  Just a few more weeks and we'll be watching Dragon Ball Kai once more!

Plus new Fairy Tail, new Jojo's, new Love Live, No Game No Life, Mekaku City Actors, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, Soul Eater Not, Mahouka Kokou no Rettousei, Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, and a bevy of additional promising titles.

Plus we'll still get to keep Naruto, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter and Precure from the previous season, so it wouldn't be surprising if there were 20 watchable series this coming season, more than double what we have now!

Combine that with the awesome video game releases coming out this spring and wow!  Christmas apparently is coming early this year, namely in April.  Once we're done with April's bonanza, we won't need anything else for the rest of the year.
