In other news, the Saimoe 2013 contest has finally begun.  The preliminaries have just begun but heated contests have already struck between top tier contenders like Kuroneko and Onjouji Toki (both of whom are in my most beautiful anime girls list, so no wonder they're doing well in Saimoe).  Saimoe is a parade of endless beauty and fun so it's best to hop on the train from the very beginning and enjoy it to the very end.

Shingeki no Kyojin's first bd volume sold around 60,000 copies in its first week.  That's tremendous, Madoka Magica level sales.  The manga volumes, meanwhile, are selling at 1,000,000 copies a piece.  Can you say popular?  A worthy addition to my top anime list at #139.

Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann's BD Box set is now entirely available for download, thanks to RUELL raws.  This box set also sold extremely well, almost the highest sales in box set history, so join in the fun and check out this excellent series as well.

Speaking of Madoka Magica, the Madoka Magica movies are out subbed in blu-ray, so be sure to snag this masterpiece as well.

Aaeru over at Fuwanovel has produced a patch for 'If my Heart had Wings' that gets rid of all the stupid edits and restores all the cut content.  Since this was regarded as the best visual novel of 2012, playing this game in its patched form, but with the translated to English base released by Moenovel, seems like a rather good idea, and a great correction to what had been an enormous injustice.
