Spring 2026 Anime Preview:

It's a shame to see the winter anime season go.  Inori just hit a quadruple salchow in the most epic moment in fictional figure skating.  There were dozens of good series this season.  But the spring season is no slouch either:

So a guaranteed spread of 12 worthwhile series with an unknown number of reinforcements.  That's not bad at all.  The summer and fall seasons are only going to get better, with the upcoming ending of Bleach.  2026 is going to be a solid year in anime.

Once I glean the first impressions from all the potential series I'll include the successes in my 'to watch' list.

Meanwhile, I added Yukitaka, the bassist, songwriter, and protagonist of Limelight Lemonade Jam, to my fictional character hall of fame.  Go figure a rock star gets all the girls.  He gets the theme song 'someday of my life.'  I also added Ritsu from Assassination Classroom.  She's the cute AI killbot that tries and fails to defeat sensei, then just starts having fun with her friends in class from there.  She was given the perfect theme song, 'theme of the girls.'

Speaking of Classrooms, Lily and Erna from Spy Classroom have also been inducted into my fictional character hall of fame.  Lily got 'hajimari wa kimi no sora,' (Ririko was given Susume Tomorrow instead because it fit her better), and Erna got Tiny Stars.

Lemina from Lunar 2 is almost exactly like Mia from Lunar 1, and Mia is already in my hall of fame, so Lemina should be too.  She gets Holding On [Lemina's Theme].  Zero is a badass rival of Rock's in Mega Man, and Rock is already in, so Zero should be in too.  He gets Sparkman Stage.

Wonder Woman and Batman are already in, so I may as well include Superman now too.  Clark gets Superman Theme Song as his theme song, for obvious reasons.
