While listening to my 4-star hall of fame I noticed the epilogue song to FF4 had been broken up into 3 separate songs, when there's really no reason for that and it's meant to be played all as one song. This meant I needed to merge all three epilogues into their original single melody, which meant I needed two more hall of fame songs to stay at 5500.
I decided on the ending themes to Riddle Joker and Noble Works, 'Hatsukoi' and 'Bright Light Future.' I've always appreciated Famishin's music ever since I played Senren * Banka, so this was well merited. Hatsukoi and Bright Light Future can be 3-star songs starting from now, while I promote 8 songs to 4-star and demote 6 songs to 3-star (and erase 2 songs which are now merged into one).
The 8 promoted songs include 7 She is Legend themes (from Heaven Burns Red) and Perfect Area Complete, the opening theme to Baka to Test. Specifically, Arch of Light, Arifureta Battle Song, Back from the Brink, Dance! Dance! Dance!, Houkago no Melody, Long Long Spell and Sayonara no Soukadou got the bump up.
The demoted songs are Divine Love, Flower of Love, Blackjack and The Book of Sealings from Final Fantasy, Tempered Soul from Soul Calibur and Gravityman Stage from Mega Man.
Because Hatsukoi and Bright Light Future are thematically matched (songs from the same franchise as the characters) and 3-star in quality, they qualify as theme songs for Nanami and Shizuru respectively. To make room I had to promote Oh Unhappy Day and After the Soldiers' Dreams to 5-star, demote Treasure and 'I hope the weather will be sunny tomorrow' down to 4-star, then strip the theme song status from Treasure and sunny. Fina's new theme song is Movin' and Nozomi's new theme song is World Map as a result.
Now my ratings should be a little more accurate.
I was also listening to my 4-star gallery to find out which songs should be upgraded to 5-star if there should be an opening in the future. I found 29 prospects, but the 5-star tier is very strong so they're stuck for now. At the very least they can be used as theme songs for wonderful characters if I choose to expand that list in the future.
I'm reading a fun new manga called Gacha wo Mawashite about a guy who's isekaied with the superpower of being able to summon gacha girls from his favorite gacha game to fight for him. As a fervent fan of gacha games due to Heaven Burns Red, the manga appeals to me. I understand the main character's mindset completely.
I finished Sena's route in Noble Works, leaving just Akari and Maya to go.
I fully support the BBB bill and wish the House would stop playing games and pass it already. Without this bill taxes are increased automatically by 68% at the end of the year. That's absolute madness. It would completely destroy the economy. In addition, the bill finally secures the southern border from the endless billions of poor immigrants hoping to come here to get free benefits and deal drugs. It nixes the slush fund to 'green' companies peddling their global warming hoax. It reduces Medicaid spending, especially to illegals. What's not to love about this bill? I've never understood why a single Republican would have a single objection to this bill. They act like the alternative is some sort of balanced budget libertarian dream, when that has about 1% support among the electorate. The alternative isn't libertarianism, it's liberalism. It's 4 more years of Joe Biden's budget. This shouldn't be such a difficult decision.
I'm happy to hear Trump is ceasing deliveries of at least some armaments to Ukraine. It would be better if we cut off our satellite intelligence, which is the real driver of Ukraine's success, but again, this is much better than what we got under Biden.
On Russia's side, they're about to secure Toretsk by taking the neighboring Sherbinivka, and they're on the verge of the complete liberation of Chasiv Yar, a city that has stopped their progress cold for the last 2 years. Taking both of these cities will be a gamechanger in the war, as it opens up a pincers movement on Konstantinyvka, which would make the city indefensible. Konstantynivka would be one of the biggest cities Russia has taken all war long, and it in turn opens up a path to Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, the last two big cities in Donbass outside Russian control. Things will start falling like dominoes, and the first two dominoes are very close to falling. It could be this week.
Russia has taken all the villages next to Siversk so it's only a matter of time before they bag this stronghold too, which has held out since the beginning of the war. They're making slow but steady progress surrounding Kupiansk and Pokrovsk as well, with the plan of taking both cities without having to engage in pitched urban combat by cutting off their supply routes. Everything in this war occurs at glacial speeds, but these 5 turning points are ready to turn. It could all be over this summer. And after losing all five of these cities Ukraine has no further chances to defend anything. It would have to surrender after that many defeats just to preserve any portion of its territory. The writing will soon be on the wall.
Without US aid and losing all of its most important strongholds, you'd think Ukraine would be ready to quit, but the fanatic Zelensky refuses to budge, and refuses to allow elections so he can be replaced with someone more moderate, which the Ukrainian people would prefer. So the drafted people of Ukraine continue to fight in a war they never chose with a dictator they never elected. It's pathetic that Ukraine is willing to fight so hard against Russia but won't lift a finger for their own freedom. They live like cattle, just going with the flow, letting the herd think for them. And they're getting slaughtered like cattle as a result. But what can you say but good riddance. There's a limit to forgivable stupidity and the people of Ukraine are well past that limit.
