Republicans finally got their act together and passed an absolutely necessary bill that preserves current tax policy (instead of having a sudden 68% increase), raises the debt ceiling (which was about to be reached) so we don't suddenly default on public debt and send the world economy into a tailspin, builds the damn wall and allows ICE to do its job, cuts welfare spending, defunds the ghoulish Planned Parenthood, gives people an incentive to become parents and thus at least symbolically fights against our ever-decreasing fertility rate, eliminates the green new deal slush funds, and rewards hardworking folks with no taxes on tips or overtime.
This country should be for citizens, taxpayers, workers and parents -- not welfare recipients, illegal aliens, abortionists and environmental extremists who want to return us to the stone age. BBB takes back our country. If Trump keeps us out of war like he originally promised, BBB will be the start of a new golden age for America.
If we could finally get to the 'peace and prosperity' part of American history we would be so much better off. We have a better law code, more freedom, higher human capital, and more natural resources than virtually anywhere else on Earth. There is nothing holding us back from becoming the happiest place on Earth but ourselves. Our insatiable bloodlust that sees us in foreign wars with enemies who never attacked America every year, year after year after year and a suicidal altruism that wants to embrace and absorb all the criminals and grifters on the entire Earth and shower them with motherly love. If we could ditch these two impulses we'd be invincible.
Trump has the right instincts and haphazardly lurches towards the right answers, but there's always something that goes wrong -- whether it's the Covid epidemic, the ridiculous Russiagate/impeachment scandals, district courts trying to overthrow the will of the people, or Netanyahu -- Trump always gets dragged into bad outcomes regardless of his intent. It's time to turn the corner. This is the actual start of Trump's presidency, where for the first time his policies have been enacted into law.
During his first term all we got was Paul Ryan's policies, followed by a democratic congress that was only intent on putting him in jail. And during his second term all we've gotten so far is federal judges overruling every single thing he tries to do and Elon Musk ranting like a madman that Trump is a pedophile who needs to be impeached.
BBB is the first good thing that Trump is actually responsible for. It's been a long time coming. Way too long. But America can look forward to many more good things. Next year we host the World Cup, and two years after that we host the Olympics. Talk about party central. The Ukraine war should end soon, given the dreadful situation on the ground for Ukraine. Without any diplomatic breakthrough, Russia will just take everything it wants and the war will end by default soon enough. Once that happens America will finally, finally be out of all wars for the first time since the 1990's.
I was hopeful about landing on the Moon again and reaching Mars for the first time, but Elon Musk is unfortunately a madman and his starship rockets blow up every time (the latest time even before it got on the launchpad), so I guess that's out. I'll celebrate China reaching the Moon instead.
More realistic than spaceflight, we seem to really be closing in on fusion power. A limitless source of power with no polluting byproducts, no expensive or rare starting fuels, and no intermittency like we find from solar or wind. So long as America doesn't destroy itself with an unnecessary nuclear war or by importing a billion indigent immigrants like the Democrats want to do, scientists around the world will give us limitless wealth. Because energy is the source of all abundance, basically once you have free energy you have free everything. If people are worried about labor costs that's also a non-issue because AI is making rapid progress too. If American scientists don't invent reliable driverless cars then Chinese scientists will. And then you'll have free manufacturing and retailing of all goods. The only economy left will be in services, and a lot of those will be automated too, like doctors and lawyers.
Trump really could, just by staying out of war, cradle and nurture America all the way to a techno-utopia. We're right on the doorstep of all these inventions. It could all happen in four years, or 12 years counting Vance's presidency. We've secured the economy and the border for the next 4 years, so now it's just a matter of staying out of nuclear war. That's all I ask of Trump at this point. One simple job.
Meanwhile in Heaven I got a second attacker's euphoria necklace, finished upgrading my driver's necklace to +6, and got all my rings to +3 or above. I also managed an Oubliette of Tears run that again got all the way down to floor 35, then back up to floor 50 and beat Death Slug Omega. This time I ran out of energy before fighting Omega, but I pounded him so hard and so fast that I still had some health left regardless. That was an amazing feeling, realizing I was going to win after thinking I was going to die the whole way traversing the dungeon. Last time I wrote about my successful dive to floor 35 blogger decided to censor my post and delete it, so it would be pretty funny if this post is also deleted. I had no idea floor 35 was such a taboo subject.
I can't really get stronger via accessories anymore. I can get marginally stronger but not enough for it to matter. The only thing left to do is limit breaks. Without getting my whole party to at least limit break 3, but more likely I'll need level 4, I can't beat the final anachronies or orb boss III level 3. I'm not having any luck with my free quartz rolls, so limit breaks are only going to come from Protean shards, which basically means 1 limit break a month. It's sad but there's nothing more I can do to accelerate the matter.
If Heaven would be so kind as to release new Chapter 5 content then maybe I could equip a new, more powerful booster and that would solve everything. But I suspect Chapter 5 is still a long ways away.
