Eiga Healin' Good Precure available:

This is a far cry from a blu-ray release, but it's good enough to enjoy.  Thanks to [Serenae], who has always been on top of things ever since Doremi quit.  Not all Precure movies are great, but the vast majority of them are, and this one falls into that category.  The music is powerful, the villain multifaceted, and the Pretty Cure get to do what they do best, cure people's ills.  I'll be looking forward to the blu-ray release where the visuals will be pretty too.

In addition, a new anime has debuted in the summer season.  Heion Idaten:  This is another avant garde anime.  The style is radical, extremely colorful and fluid.  The content is eye-poppingly rated R.  But it's also interesting, which is all that matters.  It's an intriguing world with sympathetic characters.  The bad guys are certainly powerful, but so are the heroes, so it feels like a fair contest.  Two episodes have already aired and they were both good, so this is a solid Pass.

Love Live! Superstar is on break until after the Olympics.  That means we only get 19 series for now, but eventually it will return and Madoka Magica will resume, getting us to 21 concurrent worthwhile airing shows.  That's almost a record.  On top of that there's still Jahy-sama which hasn't started yet and might be good, so it could even be 22 shows.  A wide variety of shows of all types are somehow all good in their own way.  From Kageki Shoujo to Re-main to Sonny Boy to Heion Idaten, there's something for everyone.  The summer season is a treasure horde, of course headlined by the new great series Kanojo mo Kanojo and Shiroi Suna no Aquatope.  It's almost a waste to have such a good anime season and the Olympics going at the same time, I wish I could spread out this much fun a little thinner across a longer stretch.  Oh well, somehow I'll survive.

Also, Vibration ~Beginning~ is cut on the 84th playthrough from my music hall of fame.  It sounds less like a song and more like random notes crashed together by a supercollider.  Back down to 5515 overall and 869 for Motoi Sakuraba.

I would like to add Analogy, the new opening to Higurashi Sotsu, to make up the difference, but the full version of the song isn't out yet.  Someday.  At least 5515 is a somewhat round number.
