3 Left Out:

I correctly predicted 2 of the 3 bowl eligible teams that wouldn't make it to a bowl game this season.  Western Michigan and Buffalo.  I was wrong about Ohio though, it got in ahead of UTSA.  I guess 8-4 is too good a record to just be shunted aside, bowl tie-ins or not.

I correctly predicted that exactly three teams would be left out in the end.  I'm like the God of predictions these days.  I predicted the tax cut bill would pass and it did.  I predicted Roy Moore would win and he's leading in the polls.

I thought Ohio State should get in ahead of Alabama, but I can understand the reasoning behind Alabama getting the nod.  11-1 is a better record than 10-2.  I'm a big fan of the SEC so I like this setup anyway.

The College Football Playoff is going to be great, but it will count towards the greatness of 2018, since it occurs on New Year's Day this time around.

Some other intriguing matchups are Ohio State vs. USC and undefeated UCF vs. Auburn.  The sunshine state has five great Florida teams this year --  UCF, USF, FAU, FIU and Miami, so congrats to all those programs.

Another great matchup is between the Aggies and the Aggies.  Utah State vs. New Mexico State.  This is the first bowl game for New Mexico State since 1960.  That's right.  Their first bowl game in 57 years.  The longest bowl drought in the FBS has finally been broken.  This is as fun as Northwestern finally making it to the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
