Key has announced a new, upgraded and expanded version of Summer Pockets -- sort of like Little Busters! Ecstasy or Rewrite+. Unfortunately, we never even got to see the original version, and there are no plans to release this expanded version stateside even though the original has been green-lit for commercial USA release. This just means we now will never get to see the 'real' story, the worst of all worlds.
Hopefully some group will step in and take up this new challenge, but judging by the lack of Kud Wafter, Rewrite+ and Summer Pockets we're already facing my hopes are rather slim.
At least we can listen to the new music without any translation aids. Jun Maeda is Jun Maeda in whatever language.
The Rise of Skywalker debuts December 19th. It's the last important addition to the year, but what a doozy. The ending to the most famous and best American story ever made. This is a must see and will go down as a major event in world history.
The college football playoff semifinals are on December 28th. The four best teams in college football this year were all pretty obvious so the semifinals were perfectly chosen. Four power 5 conference champions, 3 of whom have unbeaten records. It almost can't get any better than that.
Youjo Senki volume 7 comes out tomorrow commercially, but it's not good enough to merit buying or even really reading, sadly. On the 21st the new Spice and Wolf novel is released and that actually is worth buying and reading.
Between the Rise of Skywalker and the Ohio State vs. Clemson game, the year and even the entire decade is ending with a magnificent bang.
The 40 year wait is almost over.
